The practice of the Wisdom Dakini Simhamukha consists principally of Todlay, or the higher ritual and meditation practices that aim at the realization of the ultimate spiritual goal of liberation from suffering in Samsara and the attaining of Buddha enlightenment. This entails the mastering of the visualization process of Kyerim and the internal yogas of Dzogrim. However, there is also the Melay, or lower magical practices dealing with overcoming of the obstructions encountered in one’s ordinary daily life by way of cultivating within oneself certain powers and capacities and the performing of certain rituals. Here we shall examine a number of these practices associated with Simhamukha as found in the Lay-tsok, or Collectiom of Magical Rites, which is part of the Secret Book of Simhamukha
